Eddie Feighner (born Mar. 25, 1925 – died Feb. 9, 2007) first assembled his four-man touring team, known as "The King and His Court". The team, which fielded only a pitcher (Feigner), catcher, first baseman, and shortstop, was known for performing tricks that entertained the audience. The Court would play over10,000 softball games in a hundred countries from the late 1940s to the beginning of the 21st century and achieved a reputation and fame similar to that of the Harlem Globetrotters. Feigner's meticulous records claim 9,743 victories, 141,517 strikeouts, 930 no-hitters and 238 perfect games.

He coached the Vikings to eight playoff appearances in nine years, despite having seven different starting quarterbacks in those postseasons. He was posthumously inducted into the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor in 2018.

JERRY WEST (born May 28, 1938 – died June 12, 2024) played for the Los Angeles Lakers and is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. His nicknames included "the Logo", in reference to his silhouette being the basis for the NBA logo. West was voted 12 times into the All-NBA First and Second Teams, was elected into the NBA All-Star Team 14 times.
HOT ROD HUNDLEY (born Oct. 26, 1934 – died Mar. 27, 2015) played college basketball for the West Virginia Mountaineers and was selected by the Cincinnati Royals with the first overall pick of the 1957 NBA draft. In 2003, Hundley received the Curt Gowdy Media Award from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
JOHN STOCKTON (born Mar. 26, 1962) is one of the greatest point guards of all time, spent his entire NBA career (1984–2003) with the Utah Jazz, and the team made the playoffs in all of his 19 seasons.
He was a ten-time NBA All-Star and holds the NBA records for most career assists and steals by wide margins. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009. In 1996, he was named one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history.
CONNIE HAWKINS (born July 17, 1942 – died Oct. 6, 2017) was a New York City playground legend. Hawkins played four years for the famed exhibition team Harlem Globetrotters before getting to play in the American Basketball Association with the Pittsburgh Pipers in 1967. He won the first league MVP award by averaging 26.8 points and led the team to the ABA championship. After a stellar second season, Hawkins played seven seasons in the NBA and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1992.

Walt Frazier (born Mar. 29, 1945) led the New York Knicks to the franchise's only two championships (1970 and 1973), and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1987. Upon his retirement from basketball, Frazier went into broadcasting; he is currently a color commentator for telecasts of Knicks games on the MSG Network. In 1996, Frazier was honored as one of the league's greatest players of all time by being named to the NBA 50th Anniversary Team.
Dave DeBusschere (born Oct. 16, 1940 - died May 14, 2003) played for the Detroit Pistons from 1962-68 and for the Knicks from 1968-74. He was also the head coach for the Pistons from 1964 through 1967.
DeBusschere was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1983. In 1996, and was named as one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history.
Dave Stallworth (born Dec. 20, 1941 - died Mar. 15, 2017) played for eight NBA seasons and was a member of the Knicks' 1969–70 championship-winning team. He also played for the Baltimore Bullets.

Fry had a 143–89–6 record at Iowa. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 2003.
Tom Davis (born Dec. 3, 1938) served as the head coach at Lafayette College, Boston College, Stanford University, the University of Iowa, and Drake University from 1971 to 2007. While at Iowa, he led the Hawkeyes to nine NCAA Tournaments, including three Sweet Sixteen appearances as well as an Elite Eight.

Jerry Yeagley (born Jan. 10, 1940) coached the Indiana Hoosiers men's soccer team from 1973-2003. His teams won six NCAA Championships and a Division I record 544 games. He is considered the most successful collegiate men's soccer coach in the history of the sport.
Isiah Thomas (born Apr. 30, 1961), also known as "Zeke", played for the Hoosiers, leading them to the 1981 NCAA championship as a sophomore and then declaring for the NBA draft. He was taken as the second overall pick by the Pistons in the 1981 NBA draft, and played for them his entire career, while leading the "Bad Boys" to the 1988–89 and 1989–90 NBA championships. A five-time All-NBA Team member, Thomas was a 12-time NBA All-Star and was named to the NBA's 50th and 75th anniversary teams. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000.
Jim Spivey (born Mar. 7, 1960) was a middle-distance runner and Olympian. He was the 1982 NCAA men's 1500-meter champion with Indiana University. Spivey enjoyed a long Olympic career, in which he participated in the Summer Games in 1984, 1992, and 1996.
Bob Hammel (born Oct. 6, 1936; died July 20, 2025) spent 40 years with the Bloomington Herald-Telephone and Herald-Times, 30 as sports editor.
Kit Klingelhoffer had 42 years of service to the Indiana University Athletic Department as assistant athletic director.

Roger Craig (born July 10, 1960) rushed for 2,446 yards and 26 touchdowns for the Cornhuskers. A three-time Super Bowl champ, he played in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers (1983–1990), the Los Angeles Raiders (1991) and the
Minnesota Vikings (1992–1993).

Sam Francis (born Oct. 26, 1913 – died Apr. 23, 2002) was the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy in 1936 as a Cornhusker. He was the first overall selection in the 1937 NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Frank Solich (born Sept. 8, 1944) was a part of Bob Devaney’s first recruiting class at Nebraska, and became a standout for the Huskers in the mid-1960s. An All-Big Eight fullback and co-captain of the Huskers’ 1965 team, his playing career earned him induction into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame in 1992. From 1998-2003, Solich served as the head coach at Nebraska. He also is the former head coach at Ohio University (2005-21).
Mike Rozier (born Mar. 1, 1961) played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, winning the Heisman Trophy in 1983. He was a running back in the USFL for two seasons and the NFL for seven seasons from 1985-91. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

Ken Stabler (born Dec. 25, 1945, 1929 – died July 8, 2015) was a quarterback for 17 seasons in the National Football League, primarily with the Oakland Raiders. Nicknamed "Snake", he received four Pro Bowl selections and was named Most Valuable Player in 1974. Stabler also helped the Raiders win their first Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XI. He was posthumously inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016.
Ray Guy (born Dec. 22, 1949 - died Nov. 3, 2022) played for the Oakland / Los Angeles Raiders. Guy is the only pure punter ever to be drafted in the first round of the NFL draft. He won three Super Bowls with the Raiders and was elected to both the College Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014. An eight-time All-Pro, Guy is widely considered to be the greatest punter of all time.
Alan Miller (born June 19, 1937 - died Oct. 20, 2024) was signed by the American Football League’s Boston Patriots, playing for them in their first year of existence, 1960. Miller was the Patriots' leading rusher in 1960. In 1961, he was traded to the AFL’s Oakland Raiders, and was a 1961 AFL All-Star. He played for the Raiders through 1965. Miller was a member of the AFL All Star Team in 1961, captain of the Oakland Raiders in 1963–65 and Most Valuable Player of the Raiders in 1965.
